This past Saturday, March 19th, 17 animals were removed/rescued from a Holmesburg home after a tip was received by the Philadelphia Police Department.   A search warrant was executed by the Pennsylvania SPCA to remove 15 small dogs and 2 cats.  The police said several animals were living in unsanitary conditions in the 7900 block of Marsden Street.

The dogs and cats will remain in custody and be taken care of by the PSCPA until the owner surrenders them to the the shelter or through adjudication of the case.

The investigattion is ongoing.  If you have any information about this case, please contact the PSPCA’s Cruelty Hotline at (866) 601-SPCA.

17 animals in a small home. What were they thinking? That’s right, they don’t think! The more I get to know animals, the less I like people!

Wow, unbelievable. These are the kind of people that will be back to getting more animals. They think they’re doing good but they’re not.

So sad for the animals. How long were they forced to live like that? At least, they’re out of there.

Saved as a favorite, I really like your blog!
Who lets their animals live in filth like this? They shouldn’t be allowed to have any more pets!
