The Pennsylvania SPCA has announced it rescued 83 chickens for insufficient shelter and unsanitary conditions from a residence in Northumberland County.

Yesterday afternoon, Friday, January 30th, a search warrant was executed after receiving a tip. PSPCA Humane Law Enforcement officers went to the Dornsiffe residence where officers found hens and roosters living with insufficient shelter due to the cold temperatures in the region.  They also discovered hens living in unsanitary conditions. Two deceased chickens and one deceased goose were found by the officers.

To report animal abuse, call the Pennsylvania SPCA’s cruelty hotline at 1-866-601-SPCA.

People are pigs and treat animals like pigs. Glad they removed the chickens!

Hope they don’t get more chickens to replace the ones they took.
