Almost Heaven (Hell) Kennel is no longer owned by Derbe Skip Eckhart. He sold it to his adopted daughter and it now runs under the name T.A.S. Kennel.
So what does this mean for the hundreds of dogs in this pathetic kennel? I don’t know but what I do know is this entire system of running and enforcing kennels is not right. Something needs to change.
Perhaps if the Bureau of Dog Law Enforcement would have pursued this case as originally intended after the raid last October when Almost Heaven (Hell) was shut down, we may not be in this mess. The Bureau had intended to deny Eckhart a new kennel license and fight him on his appeals. By all accounts, Eckhart would have lost. I’m guessing that is why he sold it to his adopted daughter. Now these dogs have to continue to suffer at the hands of those who don’t give a damn about them!
Tuesday is the hearing for Eckhart at the Lehigh County Courthouse. I will be attending. As I gather more information, I will pass it along.
All I can say is UNBELIEVABLE!!!!
