Another Horse Dies at Cheyenne Frontier Days Rodeo – How Do They Claim Animals are Treated with the Utmost Respect and Care?

September 18, 2017 by Tina Evangelista-Eppenstein 7 Comments

Another sad and tragic case of a horse whose right front leg was broken at the recent Cheyenne Frontier Days Rodeo which takes places in Wyoming annually can be seen in the following video.

The images show when the horse’s leg was broken and the less-than-quick response time by the “cowboys.”   Notice how they rope all four legs to transfer the horse onto a trailer.   It is not pleasant to watch.

Warning: Graphic video

Cheyenne Frontier Days Rodeo is known as the world’s largest outdoor rodeo where competitors compete for more than $1 million in cash and prizes.   It is considered by some to be the “Daddy of ‘Em All.”

The injured horse had to be put down,  not an uncommon practice at this rodeo.   In fact, every year animals are injured and/or  die at this two-week event.

Animal activists/organizations continually go after this rodeo.   Bryan Hammons, a rodeo competitor, thinks advocates don’t understand that “they are not cruel to the animals, it’s just a misconception.”   “They (animal activists) show up at the rodeo sometimes and take pictures of things and put it on the internet and try to make it look like we’re being cruel, but we’re not.”

Excuse Mr. Hammons,  the videos clearly show the truth.   It has been proven that CFD has been repeatedly cruel to the animals.   No misconception here.

This video was captured by a bystander’s cell phone and given to SHARK (Showing Animals Respect and Kindness.)   SHARK’s president, Steven Hindi, has been attending the CFD rodeo since 2005.    He has documented the injuries and deaths of animals.

Accidental injuries do and will happen with animals but too many animals have lost their lives at this “Daddy of ‘Em All rodeo over the years.

They claim the animals are treated with the utmost respect and care!

Do you want to do something about this?  You can!

Please click here to help end the cruelty by contacting the sponsors of this brutality.

The question remains  is this “another accidental” injury  or animal abuse?

This place is sadistic toward animals. It’s a misconception. Bull ?. If they loved their animals like they claim they would change the way they treat them. Animals dying every year isn’t indicative of respecting them. It’s time to close this rodeo once and for all.

It’s time to close all rodeos down but stupid people attend them. Don’t know why no one can see how abusive they are to the animals?

Rodeos are nothing but animal cruelty labeled as entertainment.
