ANOTHER CASE OF A SKINNED DOG

December 4, 2008 by Tina Evangelista-Eppenstein

UPDATE: Thanks to Linda G. for pointing out that the beagle was originally thought to have been skinned in this story was actually a coyote. The link to the story reflects this change but they have removed the news video. As Linda clearly asks in her comment ~ what is wrong with this story? How can one confuse a beagle with a coyote? Is there more to this story than they are telling us? You decide.
According to the Pittsburgh Channel News, a beagle was skinned to its paws and decapitated in Dunbar Township. The remains were found on the side of a road by a passing motorist. They identified the dog by the paws. But there seems to be a disturbing trend with animals being mutilated lately. You can read and view a video the about this dog and other cases here.
What is happening? There was the case recently where a man hung his labrador retriever by his neck on a tree branch and was beating him in hopes to kill him because he couldn’t affoard to humanely euthanize him. He said the dog was aggressive. A neighbor heard the dog hollering and called the police. They were able to save the dog. The dog may have possible brain damage but the veternarians say this dog is very sweet and playful regardless. They don’t know how long the dog was deprived of oxygen. I feel the fact that he wants to play is a good sign. Then again, I’m not a veternarian.
There was another case involving another dog who was also found hanged. It was suggested by authorities that whoever did this wanted the dog to suffer. He was hung on a tree, once again, but his feet were barely allowed to touch the ground. Authorities stated that the person(s) involved wanted that dog to suffer on purpose.
People will never cease to amaze me. Any ideas of what is happening with people? This has nothing to do with the economy. This is has to do with how sick people are. Is it because of the internet that we are able to hear more stories or are more horrific cases of animal cruelty being perpetrated against pets? This is so sick and horrible to comprehend.
