If you are interested in what a puppymill is and how they operate, tune in this Monday, the 27th @ 10PM to Animal Planet. This one hour program will give viewers an insider’s look at the horrific business of puppymills in PA. Remember we are still the puppymill capital of the East.
This program highlights the PA SPCA raids of Chester County’s Limestone Kennels,notoriously known for being a large puppymill and Almost Heaven Kennels run by Derbe “Skip” Eckhart located in Emmaus, PA. Almost Heaven Kennel was raided last October. This was one of the largest raids puppymill raids in PA history.
From what I’m hearing, this program appears to be more revealing than the Nightline segment about puppymills that aired recently.
I believe it would be beneficial for those of you who do not understand where the puppy you bought from a pet store came from. This will help you, the viewer, to understand where and how the parents of these cute “puppies in the windows” live their entire lives.

You can also take a quiz to see if you can spot the puppymill scam. I think this page can be enlightening for those who don’t understand the horrors of puppymills. Included on this page are deleted scenes from Monday’s night program.
I hope this program does this dirty and cruel business of breeding dogs for profit justice by showing the truth about puppymills and how they must be stopped! Tell your friends to watch.
