DEER KILLED OVER THE WEEKEND ON WYOMISSING PARKLAND- GAME COMMISSION INVESTIGATING

March 2, 2010 by Tina Evangelista-Eppenstein

The Game Commission is involved in the investigation of the deaths of three deer found over the weekend in Wyomissing Parkland near a popular recreation trail.
Their carcasses were found intact. So the meat wasn’t the reason for the killing.
So what was the reason behind the killing of these three deer and how does this differ from the killing of the deer at Charles Evans Cemetery two weeks ago?
The Game Commission was called by the Cemetery to get rid of the deer because they damaged property. They in turn called in marksmen to shoot and kill the herd of nine deer over the course of two nights.
Now they are called in to investigate the killings of these three deer.
There was a complaint last year by a resident of Wyomissing stating that deer were causing damage to landscaping. What is the difference between the Game Commission killing nine deer and now investigating the same type of acts by another person or persons?
The irony of it all.
