DERBE ECKHART DENIED STATE KENNEL LICENSE

January 31, 2009 by Tina Evangelista-Eppenstein

Derbe “Skip” Eckhart, owner (?) of Almost Heaven Kennel near Emmaus, PA was denied a 2009 kennel license by the Department of Agriculture. Eckhart has 10 days from the time he receives his notice in the mail to appeal this decision.
If Eckhart should appeal the decision, as most suspect he will, Almost Heaven Kennel can operate. The Department of Agriculture has been prepared to fight the Eckhart’s appeals since they decided to reverse the revocation of his license last year.
Last week, Almost Heaven Kennel’s website stated it had changed ownership to April Dotterer Welter. The new kennel was named T.A.S. Kennel but the website has since been taken down. Welter has no kennel license. Not quite sure what the story is but let’s just hope this place is closed down permanently.
