DERBE ECKHART’S LAWYER SAYS HIS CLIENT’S ACTIONS WERE A MISUNDERSTANDING OVER MEDICATIONS

June 9, 2010 by Tina Evangelista-Eppenstein

Jeffrey Conrad, Derbe Eckhart’s lawyer, said in court yesterday that his client’s actions on May 22nd when he punced a Lehigh County Prison Guard was a “misunderstanding over medications”. Eckhart waived his right to a prelimary hearing about the alleged incident.
“Conrad said he hopes Eckhart can reach a deal with the district attorney’s office to plead guilty to simple assault and have charges of aggravated assault and resisting arrest withdrawn. The charges have been sent to Lehigh County Court.”
Well I hope this “man” does not get another break. Simpe assault- he punched (allegedly) a Prison Guard! And then he proceeded to resist arrest. And that should be withdrawn? I don’t think so and I hope the judge thinks the same way.
I’m tired of Eckhart getting away with breaking the law and asking the courts to have the charges dismissed. It is past due to send a message to these offenders and Eckhart has gotten away with so much for too long.
Let’s just hope Eckhart keeps digging a deeper hole for himself. Because he can’t control innocent dogs anymore, Eckhart surely has to find a way to create more trouble for himself while in prison. One can hope, right?
