DERBE ‘SKIP’ ECKHART TO BE ARRAIGNED TOMORROW ON ANIMAL CRUELTY CHARGES

April 2, 2009 by Tina Evangelista-Eppenstein

According to a woman I spoke to at the Lehigh County Courthouse Derbe “Skip” Eckhart will be arraigned once again tomorrow morning at 8:30 AM.
Eckhart is the owner of Almost Heaven (Hell) Kennel , Emmaus, PA that was the subject of one of the largest puppymill raids in PA history back in late fall 2008.
Eckhart will most likely plead not guilty to the new charges and a trial date will be set. If he pleads guilty, we can look forward to a sentence. But, I think we know the probability of Eckhart pleading guilty is as good as the probability of his kennel (puppymill) closing any time soon.
I will keep you posted on the latest charges. Will this saga ever end?
