Dog who Fell into 70 Foot Well Clings to Life and Rocks as She is Rescued in India!

Animal Aid Unlimited

A dog who was on the brink of giving up after falling into a 70 foot well in Udaipur,  India found her savior that fateful day.     Rescuers from Animal Aid Unlimited came to her aid.    Ganput, the man who saved this dog,  had previously rescued a dog from a well so he knew what to do.    As he climbed down the sides of the well, the dog instinctively knew she was about to be saved.     There was no fuss or fight as she was placed in a net and hoisted up to safety by the rest of the team.    She knew she was safe and could finally rest.    The rescuers said there was very little time left for this sweet girl.    She was completely exhausted.

Once above ground,  her rescuers saw how determined she was to live.    Her paws were bloody from scratching and clawing trying to stay afloat as she clung to the jagged rocks.

The rescuers took her to a veterinarian where she was found to be both healthy and happy.

No one knows for sure what her fate is but it appears she will be returned to the streets of Udaipur where 100,000 stray dogs roam.    By utilizing this approach, Animal Aid says this allows them to help as many dogs as possible.

Animal Aid Unlimited has a sanctuary for injured and sick animals where they rescue and take care of them in their own hospital  in Udaipur, Rajasthan, India.

Watch her amazing rescue here.

It is a great story and rescue. Without their help, this poor girl wouldn’t have survived. Thanks!

I don’t have an answer to your question. Animal Aid Unlimited has a sanctuary which is full most of the time. I think that it’s a matter of not having enough room to keep her. She lived on the streets so I assume they thought they would put her back from where she came much like feral cats in the United States. She seems like such a sweetheart and I wish they could’ve found her a home too.

      Thank you!

Too many dogs live on the streets. She’s one lucky dog and she knows it. Wonder how many have fallen in there but never saved. The story is a happy one. Yet, I feel sad.
