DOG WON’T LEAVE HIS MOTHER WHO WAS HIT ON THE STREETS OF NEW YORK

May 15, 2009 by Tina Evangelista-Eppenstein

Check out this story from ABC about a female dog who was hit on the streets of New York yesterday. The German Shephard refused to leave her side and allow officials near her. It turns out that the injured dog is his mother.
They escaped from their home. After officials were finally able to rescue the mother, the German Shephard refused to be caught and ran back to his own home.
The owners had actually seen the footage on tv and realized this story was about their dogs.
Both mom and son are doing okay. Happy ending!!
Lesson learned- make sure your dogs are secured in your home and backyard!
