Horse and equestrian lovers across the nation celebrate each year on July 15th as National I Love Horses Day and is one of their favorite holidays. This day pays tribute to, and honors, the horse. According to an Animal Planet poll, the horse is the world’s fourth favorite animal.
This day is a great opportunity to learn more about horses. Did you know for instance that horses have the largest eyes of all land mammals? Also, horses are lateral-eyed, giving them a range of vision of more than 350°.
CELEBRATE
To celebrate National I Love Horses Day, show your appreciation to the horse rescues by volunteering or donating items or money. Taking care of horses is expensive so rescues can use all the help they can get. If you have a horse, be sure to spend quality time with him/her or them.
