EYES AND MOUTHS OF NINE KITTENS GLUED SHUT

June 24, 2010 by Tina Evangelista-Eppenstein

I read about this story on Facebook and I couldn’t believe  the headline.  A teenager glued the eyes and mouths of nine kittens shut. Yes, you read that correctly. You’re not alone if you feel not only anger but want to hurt the person who did this. I’m not sure if they have caught the person or not.

Here is the following information I received via Facebook about these kittens:

“We are taking 9 kittens. Abused at the very beginning of their lives, we promise we will find them wonderful homes where they will find nothing but love.””The poor tiny babies, only a few days old, had their eyes and mouth glued by a nasty teenager. Thank to the care of a wonderful rescue group (Eagles Den), they are now thriving. But they will all need to be fully vetted so we can find them the wonderful homes they so deserve.”You can give directly to the vet, if you prefer:Palmetto Veterinary – Clover Clinic1474 Hwy 55 Suite 100Clover, SC 29710(803) 222 7381http://www.palmettovet.com/We have a tiny sanctuary located in Gastonia. We are in the process of getting another building so all of our cats will have enough room, until they are adopted. We pull our cats from the Gaston Animal Control facility.

Contributions aren’t being asked by me but I decided to include their information in the event you wish to help.

We know the road this person is traveling and it’s the only beginning if no one can reach him. Sooner or later, he (I’m assuming it’s a male) will engage in the killing and mutilation of animals if he hasn’t already done so. Then he’s on the path to humans. We must figure out a way to break this vicious, heinous cycle of abuse toward animals and people! Perhaps this teenager should get a taste of his own medicine. Is that the right thing to do? You tell me.
