GIBSON- WORLD’S TALLEST DOG- DIES OF CANCER

August 13, 2009 by Tina Evangelista-Eppenstein

Gibson, a Great Dane, who gained notoriety as the world’s tallest dog measuring over 7 ft. tall when standing on his hind legs according to the Guiness World Book of Records, was humanely euthanized last Friday in the arms of his owner, Sandy Hill.
Seven year old Gibson was diagnosed with bone cancer earlier this year which resulted in the amputation of his right front leg and shoulder. Gibson bounced remarkably well said Sandy.

Last week Gibson’s veterinarian discovered the cancer had spread to his lungs and spine and there was no further treatment for him.
I know how tough it is to lose a pet , let alone to cancer which I have also experienced.
