In a press release from Rep. Thomas Caltagirone who sponsored House Bill 39, he said the bill passed unanimously with no opposition! Great news for the dogs. It will now be illegal to debark, to perform tail-docking or c-sections without medical personnel.
I want to thank Rep. Caltagirone for sponsoring this bill and to all who spoke up to their legislators. As of tonight, over 23,000 people sent emails to their legislators about this important piece of legislation.
HB 39 now will enter the Senate. We need to continue to contact our legislators to get this bill passed into law for the sake of the dogs.
