HOUSE BILL 39 PASSES SENATE AGRICULTURE COMMITTEE

June 12, 2009 by Tina Evangelista-Eppenstein

House Bill 39 which will prohibit anyone but a licensed veterinarian to peform tail docking, ear-cropping, debarking or perform c-sections with anesthesia on a dog in PA has passed the Senate Agriculture Comittee.
This ever-important bill will now go to the Senate Judiciary Committee. This bill is heading in the right direction. This bill is particularly important to puppymill dogs who have the above procedures done to them routinely without anesthesia.
Thanks to all who contacted their representatives!
