IT’S ABOUT TIME- JUSTICE IS SERVED

June 14, 2010 by Tina Evangelista-Eppenstein

Virginia “Ginny” Justiniano, former owner of Cats with No Name Sanctuary in Schuylkill County, was sentenced to two to six years in state prison for violating her parole earlier this year when it was discovered she was in possession of animals.
Ginny had been charged with 117 counts of animal cruelty and only received probation earlier this year. She was not allowed to have any animals for 10 years.
When SPCA officials arrived at her new home, they found cats and at least one ferret. She was in direct violation of her parole.
Last Friday, the judge sentenced her to prison- finally! She is also ordered to have a mental evaluation while in prison.
Question- Why wasn’t Derbe “Skip” Eckhart sentenced to a similar jail sentence?
What strikes me as funny is what both of their lawyers have stated about their clients. Apparently Ginny’s problem is an attachment to animals while Eckhart’s problem is that he love animals too much. Come on…do you believe that? I feel these lawyers are just as sick as their clients.
