JUSTICE FOR REGINA

Regina ~ sexually abused and tortured in Spain before being killed

Regina had been rescued by the Protectora de Animales de la Ribera “Ribercan” in Spain. She was a Mastiff mix approximately 5 yrs. old. Someone had written to me in an earlier blog about Regina. This is her story.
Earlier this year, some men entered the shelter by destroying fences in the overnight hours. They took three dogs but two have come back and a third one was spotted near the facility. They also opened other cage doors and didn’t care if other dogs escaped.
If that wasn’t bad enough, what these pathetic, savage beasts did to Regina is unthinkable. Regina was easily frightened and she was beginning to trust the workers enough to let them touch her. She even started to give them kisses.
These beasts tied her legs with wire and abused her sexually. I don’t want to go into the details but it was cruel, inhumane and horrific. They beat her wildly about the head until she couldn’t resist and died in a pool of her own blood.
WHY? WHY? WHY?
Why would anyone do this to this poor girl? Why would anyone sexually abuse a dog?
It has been proven that these types of sickos will abuse and/or kill people. How do we stop this from happening? I feel the same about people hurting, torturing and killing people who can’t defend themselves.
I get angry, cry and am very upset over this case but this is not an isolated case. I was once told by someone in this business of animal welfare that I seem angry at times. Well, duh?? Who wouldn’t be? If people don’t get angry or upset over animal cruelty, I’d say you’re in the wrong business! I would also say start living in the real world!!
To make any changes, it takes people with courage to stand up for the truth and strive and work hard to get laws changed and enforced. That is who I am and I’m proud of it!! And I applaud and stand with anyone who does the same!
The shelter in question in Spain was looking to evacuate the other animals out of fear that more of the same will be done. I will have to keep you posted.
May what those beasts did to Regina come around full circle!
