LAST CHANCE FOR ANIMALS HOLDS CANDLELIGHT VIGIL FOR 80 PUPPYMILL DOGS KILLED IN MAXATAWNY TOWNSHIP

September 4, 2008 by Tina Evangelista-Eppenstein

Check out this video of the candlelight vigil that Last Chance for Animals held on August 30th in Malibu, California…http://www.youtube.com/v/HmORYKA0Bfg&hl=en&fs=1. It runs over 13 minutes.
Chris DeRose, founder of Last Chance for Animals, is an animal rights activisit and former actor and reporter. Chris has been arrested 11 times and jailed 4 times for opposing animal cruelty. Chris was fired from General Hospital after being jailed. Chris was not able to be at this vigil due to knee surgery as the video depicts.
I have met and listened to him at Awareness Day in Lancaster County held every year in September. More on that topic in the next week. Mark your calendars awhile – Awarenessday Day ~ Sept. 20th.
What happened here in Berks County has resonated with people all over the country and the world. I don’t know what more the legislators need to prove the point that puppymills are horrific conditions in which animals are forced to live in for the entire lives and die inhumane deaths.
Thank you to Last Chance for Animals for holding this vigil! I know in the end, these dogs will not have died in vain.
