MAN RESPONSIBLE FOR KILLING HIS ‘FAVORITE’ DOG IN THE MOST HEINOUS WAY AND WAS GIVEN A SUSUPENDED SENTENCE

August 23, 2009 by Tina Evangelista-Eppenstein

According to the Herald Sun, John Delahaye tried to kill his own dog by using several methods since his first attempt by using a nail gun failed to kill Winchester, Delahaye’s three-year old Mastiff. After shooting five nails into Winchester’s head, Delahaye dragged his yelping dog into his house where he stabbed him in the neck. When that method did not end in the result he desired, he proceeded to take a sledgehammer to Winchester’s head , ultimately and finally killing this poor, helpless dog.
Delahaye’s reasoning behind this vicious and deadly attack on his “favorite” dog – he was fed up with Winchester’s barking and his escape from his yard. Sound plausible to you? Yeah, me either.
Anyway, getting back to Delahaye. He said the killing for him was stressful because he expected the nails to go clear through his dog’s head and kill him. He apparently was already upset that he HAD to kill his favorite dog. I am sorry the killing was so hard on you Delahaye. We won’t mention the sheer hell your dog experienced before he died looking into YOUR eyes.
This killing occurred in the UK and the RSPCA is dumbfounded over the suspended sentence Delahaye received since it is one of the most severe cases of cruelty they have seen.
Delahaye was originally sentenced to 3 months in jail but after an appeal, the sentence was suspended for 12 months. He can also have another pet in three years!
Just totally blows my mind that a person can inflict the worst possible pain on a pet and walk away a free man and be allowed to get another pet. Unbelievable. Piece of human garbage.
