MEET SARA TESON- GOVERNOR MIFFLIN 7TH GRADER

September 24, 2012 by Tina Evangelista-Eppenstein

(Sara will be on this Wednesday’s tv show at 6:30 PM- here is her essay)
Animals are our loving pets that we care for so much. But have you ever seen how many animals are in animal shelters and how many are abused and not loved too? Even though they do not act like us, does not mean we can treat them the wrong way. No matter what animal abusers say, it is and always will be wrong to treat an animal that way. The poor little cats, dogs, or any other animal you own has feelings too!
If you take the time to care, love, and have fun with the animal, you and your dog or your cat will have a happy life together. If you abuse an animal, it will never love you and might try to hurt you or family and friends. You do not want an animal that does that.
I watch Animal Cops that are from all over the United States, and if you see how many animals, even chickens, that are abused, you would want to stop it too. Animals should not be abused and there are simple ways to stop that. If you see your neighbor, family, or friends abuse an animal or animals or hear talk about it, you should talk to them about it, and if they don’t agree call the cops.
There should be no abuse of anything in this country, and if you think you can hurt a helpless little animal, then you should be ashamed of yourself. That’s a simple way of helping : take part in your community, but the government can also help. If they put up more laws about animal abuse, then maybe it can stop all together. A government is powerful, and if it teams up together to fight animal abuse, then it will stop altogether. I would never want to see an animal get hurt.
I own a dog, and if anything ever happened to her, I would be very upset. It is not fair to animals, not to the vets who take care of them, and the cops that save them from their used to be a miserable life. If we team up together, we can stop animal abuse in its track.
