MICHAEL VICK TO SPEND LAST TWO MONTHS OF HIS SENTENCE IN HIS OWN HOME!

February 26, 2009 by Tina Evangelista-Eppenstein

Michael Vick,(former/current?) Falcons football player who was sentenced to 23 months in jail for bankrolling a dogfighting operation known as Bad Newz Kennels on one of his four properties is going to be released from prison and sent home to serve out the remainder of his sentence instead of a halfway house. The reason- there’s no room at the halfway house. Please. Is this for real?
He will be released from a federal penitentiary somewhere around May 21st. He will have to wear an electronic monitor and be allowed to leave home for activities “approved” by his probation officer. Why should he approved for anything? Were the dogs he abused and killed asked if they approved of what was being done to them??
This person ,and I use that term loosely, killed his own dogs by means of electrocution, drowning, beating their heads against cement and hanging. He trained these very dogs to fight other dogs to the death including family pets belonging to others.
Vick plans to resume a football career. I guess crime really does pay considering the remainder of his contract is worth $45.11 million. It’s not certain if he will be asked to stay with the Falcons but other NFL teams have shown no interest because of the possible backlash of animal lovers.
Whatever team allows this piece of scum to play is just as guilty as him. To allow someone who brutally killed his dogs and made money off their deaths has no place in the football world (or any world , for that matter) and be able to profit substantially. Where do you think he got the money to bankroll a dogfighting operation?
Does justice ever prevail?
