MICHAEL VICK WILL PLEAD GUILTY ON STATE DOGFIGHTING CHARGES

October 22, 2008 by Tina Evangelista-Eppenstein

Hoping to get his sentence reduced from 23 months in jail to just 18 with good behavior, Michael Vick plans to plead guilty to state dogfighting charges in Virginia. He is currently serving a two year sentence in federal prison in Leavenworth, Kansas.
Vick is hoping to receive an early release from his federal sentence and enter a halfway house.
Vick owned Bad Newz Kennels on his property in Virginia. He admitted to bankrolling the operation. He pled guilty to a federal dogfighting charge in August 2007 and was sentenced in December 2007 to 23 months in jail.
Let’s see if this one-time NFL star will also try to re-enter the world of football or if the NFL wants anything to do with him. If so, I hope the NFL remembers what this person did to those dogs when they didn’t perform to his expectatations by executing them by means of electrocution, hanging, drowning and more. I don’t think he should be rewarded with a NFL contract. It was with the NFL money that he ran that “business”.
