Philadelphia Eagles Fan Repeatedly Punches Police Horse when Ejected from Game

January 15, 2018 by Tina Evangelista-Eppenstein 7 Comments

Taylor Hendricks, 22,  of Whitehall Township, Pennsylvania was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, illegally taunting a police animal, simple assault and defiant trespass when he repeatedly punched a police horse and then attacked the mounted police officer after being  ejected from a Philadelphia Eagles game this past Saturday, January 13th, at the Lincoln Financial Field.

Hendricks was booked at a nearby police station at 4 AM and  released the same  on $5,000 bail.    A  preliminary hearing is set for January 30th at 8 AM.

Hendricks was removed from the game where the Eagles advanced to the NFC Championship on Sunday, January 21st, after beating the Atlanta Falcons.    Hendricks was ejected when he wasn’t in possession of a playoff ticket and was inebriated.    While leaving the stadium, he walked up to the mounted police officer and  repeatedly punched the police horse in the face, neck and shoulder.    Hendricks then turned his anger and  attention to the human officer and struck him in the legs.    Hendricks was quickly arrested by another police officer.

Hendricks is looking at possible animal cruelty charges.   Currently he has no lawyer representing him.

The consensus from Eagles fans was one of shock and disappointment  who were in disbelief when told about the incident.     A gentleman said it was an embarrassment toward Eagles fans.    One fan nervously laughed when asked what he thought.     Another fan said “That’s not cool.  That is not cool.”     I was glad to hear people say Hendricks’ actions of hurting an animal was unacceptable.

On Hendricks LinkedIn Page, he described himself as a “self-motivated and hardworking young professional, that is ready to exceed expectations in all areas.”     He certainly was self-motivated in his abusive actions.    Hendricks has been arrested in the past for drunkenness.

Hendricks may be banned from the Lincoln Financial Field.

The police horse and officer suffered no injuries and are doing well.

People get intoxicated at football games all the time. Had to be quite rowdy to garner attention. By drawing attention they found out he didn’t have a ticket for the game. Not the smartest person around. Hitting or punching a police animal was a total boneheaded move. Idiot. Jail time.

Why would anyone be that dumb to bring attention to yourself when you got into the game for FREE? Dumb, dumb, dumb.

He should be charged with animal cruelty. He attacked 2 Police officers and one was a horse.

If he has pets of his own, I hope the PSPCA is checking to see if he hits them! Hitting a horse repeatedly in the face, shoulders and neck= give him the maximum sentence. Hell, the sentence will be light anyway. The laws to protect animals in most states are a joke.
