Check out the date- June 23rd………this is the day this girl succumbed because her owner, Charles Bell , would not move her or protect from the blistering heat for days. She had no food nor water. She died a slow, cruel death.
Charles Bell has only received a summons. He was not arrested for committing this unthinkable act. A hearing is set for July 23rd in South Carolina. Unless Bell is found guilty of animal cruelty, he will NOT have a record.
So far, only a handful of people have called the prosecutor’s office to show their support and demand justice for this dog. I’m urging anyone who is reading this to contact the prosecutor- Mark Besser- and tell him how outraged you are by Bell’s actions and he needs to be punished to the fullest extent of the law.
Mr. Besser’s number is 843-676-8633. Please be polite but tell him justice needs to be served. I have already called. It will only take a minute out of your schedule.
If you look at the photo, you can see another area for a dog. A larger enclosure with a couple of dog dishes. What you can’t see is a tarp covering the top of the enclosure to block out the sun or rain. It seems to me that Mr. Bell was being so vindictive against this dog to place her so close to that enclosure.
