POKER RUN TO BENEFIT THE READING K-9 UNIT

June 5, 2008 by Tina Evangelista-Eppenstein

I received an email a couple of days ago from the “Friends of the Reading K-9 Unit” announcing their upcoming event “Poker Run”. All proceeds go to the Reading Police K-9 Unit!
This event sponsored by the Home Builder’s Association of Berks County will be held on Saturday, June 21st. All forms of rides accepted.
The ride will start at the Classic Harley ~ Davidson. Cost for pre-registration is $30.00 per person by June 13th. Registration on day of event is $35.00 between 11 AM – 12 at Classic Harley Davidson.
If you would like more information, please call HBA office @ 610-777-8889.
This event sounds like so much fun!!! I have never been to a poker run and I just may go there myself. It’s for a very worthwhile cause. The Reading K-9 Unit is coming back and they need all the support they can get. And that’s where the “Friends of the Reading K-9 Unit” has been a tremendous help. Meeting some of the members was such a special treat for me. These people are dedicated to the cause. And I am so happy to hear the K-9 Unit is coming back.
The Reading K-9 Unit is currently training three dogs and will soon be fully trained. They will begin training three other dogs at a later date. It will help to make the streets safer in Reading.
Come out and support the Reading K-9 Unit and have some fun!!
