PSPCA removes four dogs from unlicensed Lancaster County commercial breeder (puppy mill)

May 28, 2014 by Tina Evangelista-Eppenstein 7 Comments

breeding shed in Lancaster County (not kennel in article)

Four severely matted dogs were removed by the PSCPA from an unlicensed kennel in Lancaster County, PA, according to  Sarah R. Eremus, Communications and Marketing Manager.

According to an email I received from Sarah, they received a tip that dogs were living in unsanitary conditions in Ronks, PA. The PSPCA executed a search warrant last Thursday evening and inspected the kennel.

The four dogs seized were evaluated by PSPCA veterinarians on the scene. The dogs  are in the care of the PSPCA at their Erie Avenue shelter. One has required surgery.

An investigation is ongoing but no charges have been filed against the unlicensed kennel as of today.

The fate of the other dogs in this unlicensed kennel is unknown at this time.

Close an UNLICENSED kennel down! Still investigating. Really? It’s a no brainer. They’re in violation of the law. Close them and the rest of them!

Why weren’t all removed from this breeder? That is the question.
