Ratchet, the beloved puppy cared for by Sgt. Gwen Beberg in Iraq, has arrived safely in Minneapolis to live with Gwen’s parents until she arrives home. More than 69,000 signatures signed a petition to get Ratchet home through Operation Baghdad Pups.
Terri Crisp from Operation Baghdad Pups accompanied Ratchet on his trip to Minneapolis. She said that it cost $4,000.00 for security to bring Ratchet to the States. She also said Ratchet has gotten a glowing bill of health.

The story ran like wildfire on the internet and that is how a petition got started – and , well, we know the rest of the story.
