Phil Long, local radio personality from WRAW/WRFY and former host of BCTV’s Dance Party died yesterday after battling health issues. My deepest sympathies go out to his family and friends.
I met Phil when I was a guest on the Y102 morning show. Phil eagerly approached me to help the animals. He told me not to hesitate to contact him anytime I needed information to get out to the public about animals that needed homes or other issues concerning our four-legged friends. His heart of gold extended beyond that.
He sincerely cared about the animals. I will never forget that about him! Rest in peace, Phil.
