This is 1 of 10 dogs removed today from an unlicensed breeding kennel located in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.

A search warrant was executed by the PSPCA this afternoon (after receiving a tip) at a farm in Leola. The dogs were found to be living in unsanitary conditions with untreated medical issues.

The dogs were examined on site by medical staff of the Pennsylvania SPCA then taken to their headquarters for further evaluation.

The investigation is ongoing and animal cruelty charges are expected.

“No animal should have to suffer with an untreated medical condition or be used solely as a vehicle for more puppies,” said Pennsylvania SPCA CEO Jerry Buckley. ย “We are dedicated to addressing animal cruelty in Lancaster County and in dozens of other counties across the state of Pennsylvania.

Lancaster County, Pennsylvania is renowned for having the highest concentration of commercial kennels aka puppy mills in the state.

Glad they got them but sad to know how many others are left behind to live a life of hell. ๐Ÿ™

That’s so very true and unfortunate. I completely agree. Puppy mills, in my opinion, need to be shut down! Thank you.

You can see even more crust in this dog’s eyes from this view. Despicable. He or she looks so scared. Probably never had a human touch. ๐Ÿ™
