62 Dogs and puppies rescued from private residence in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania

These are three of the 62 dogs and puppies rescued yesterday from a private residence in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.
The Spaniel and Terrier-type dogs were found in the house, garage and vehicles on the property in Lititz, PA. They were found to be living in unsanitary conditions with untreated medical issues.
The Pennsylvania SPCA executed a search after receiving a tip from the Pennsylvania Office of Dog Law Enforcement.  Late Tuesday afternoon PSPCA medical staff assessed the dogs and transported them to their headquarters for further evaluation.
Since the dogs and puppies were surrendered, they are being prepared for adoption.

They are now in the care of the PSPCA shelter hospital for forensic evaluation and treatment. The PSPCA will be using its adoption center on Erie Avenue in North Philadelphia, its regional center in Danville, Montour County, and satellite adoption centers within the Pets Plus Natural stores in to find the dogs and puppies the forever families they deserve.

“Every animal deserves a clean place to live and to receive proper medical care.  Confining animals to unsanitary conditions is not just unacceptable, it’s a crime” said Pennsylvania SPCA CEO Jerry Buckley.

What’s wrong with people? How did they ever think they could take care of 62 dogs? A bit mental.

Who keeps that many dogs? In Lancaster County, of course. Puppy mill capital of the East Coast. So sick of puppy mills in Pa.
