Alert- Reward Offered for Information about Deceased Puppy Found in Crate Along Road in Schuylkill County, PA

The exact location where “Keystone” was found along Route 901 and Keystone Blvd, Cass Township, Schuylkill County, PA. A reward is being offered leading to the discovery of the person(s) who abandoned the 10-week old puppy.

Update: According to Janine Choplick, Hillside SPCA Humane Officer, the puppy tested positive for parvovirus. 

This was the crate where a deceased brown and white puppy was found at Route 901 and Keystone Blvd, Cass Township, Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania.  Hillside SPCA and the PA State Police Animal Cruelty Liason are seeking anyone with information leading to the discovery of the person(s) who abandoned the puppy in this crate..

The female puppy, now named “Keystone,”  was approximately 10 weeks old had blue eyes, a brown patch around her right eye, and a brown and pink nose.

It was apparent her ears had recently been cropped and stitched.

She was found Friday, March 25th, at 5 AM already deceased in the crate.  Based on information received, it is believed the puppy was abandoned late Thursday evening, March 24th or early Friday morning.

“Keystone” was taken to Hillside SPCA by a concerned Wegman’s employee.

Hillside SPCA- 570-622-7769 – and the PA State Police –610-681-1850 are seeking any information from the public to help with this unsolved and disturbing case.

    Seriously, what is happening to people? The way they treat animals leaves me at a loss for words. Leaving a puppy to die alone while having parvo is unthinkable. Please catch this criminal! Please.
