As part of World Laboratory Animal Liberation Week, this day is to honor all animals being used in laboratories across the world. It was established by the National Anti-Vivisection Society (NAVS) in 1979.
According to NAVS, every year approximately 100 million animals suffer and die in laboratories.
This day is to raise awareness about cruel animal testing and how there are alternative methods to conduct research that don’t result in the death of living creatures.
Animals are tortured in laboratories.
