After responding to a tip received earlier this past week,  five deceased cats were removed from a debris-filled home in Sunbury, Northumberland County, Pennsylvania.

While PSPCA Humane Law Enforcement officers executed a search warrant to search the property on Friday, November 14th, they also found four cats who were alive.

The four cats were transported to the  headquarters of the Pennsylvania SPCA in Philadelphia to be evaluated.

The investigation is ongoing.

“All animals deserve to live in a clean environment with healthy food and water,” said Director of Humane Law Enforcement George Bengal.  “We are dedicated to addressing animal cruelty in Northumberland County and in 21 other counties across Pennsylvania and rely on the public to report animal abuse.”

To report animal abuse, call the Pennsylvania SPCA’s cruelty hotline at 1-866-601-SPCA.

This sounds like a hoarder. Having nine cats with five dead isn’t normal. No more cats for this person. I wonder how the other four are. So sad.

Are the cats available for adoption?

I don’t know the answer to that, Barb. I’m sorry I couldn’t be more helpful.
