Matthew Tyler Webb, 23, is charged  with with discharging a firearm within 150 feet of a roadway. He wounded his  girlfriend while trying to shoot a deer. Officials with the Georgia Department  of Natural Resources, which is handling the investigation, said more charges may follow.

Mr. Webb decided to hunt deer during late November in Georgia. After he and his girlfriend spotted a herd of deer from the roof of his home, Webb made a dash for the woods while his girlfriend staying at the house.

The girlfriend decided to join him in the woods. Webb heard a noise as he was hunting and fired a shot with his rifle.

The bullet hit his girlfriend in the leg. As she screamed, he knew his target wasn’t a deer.

The girlfriend as of November 23rd was in critical but stable condition. She lost a massive amount of blood.

How or why would anyone shoot at a noise and not at a direct visual of their target?

Today is the start of Pennsylvania gun season for deer. PA deer hunters are required to wear orange. It’s that time of the year again. This is a reminder for all sloppy hunters!

There is no good excuse for what he did and he should be charged. Shooting when only hearing a noise is dumb. Plus, he shot his own girlfriend who he thought was a deer. Geez.

Great example of why hunting should be outlawed. Unbelievable.

How stupid can you be? Shooting an object by hearing it only. Idiot. Was the girlfriend wearing orange? You hear stories like this and you wonder why people dislike hunters.

I hunt and I find this man and his girlfriend both irresponsible in this accident. You don’t shoot until you have a clear view of the deer and she should have been wearing orange. Stupid on both parties.

Why would she go out and surprise him during hunting season without wearing orange? Who does that? I’m not saying it’s her fault but that wasn’t a smart move. Of course, the real moron was the guy in the photo. Who shoots when they hear a noise only? Stupid is as stupid does.

I think what you’re doing here is pretty good. But there are a few problems with your argument and I think you should probably rethink it.
