Barbara Dienner, Ballstown Road, Lititz, PA, has pled guilty to 62 counts of summary animal cruelty stemming from the rescue of 62 dogs and puppies who were removed by the PSPCA on December 16th, 2014.
Dienner will pay a fine of $50 for each count and is prohibited from animal ownership for 90 days for each count . She was cited for unsanitary confinement and lack of necessary veterinary care. The spaniel- and terrier-type dogs were assessed by the PSPCA medical staff and found to have untreated medical issues. Dienner surrendered all of the dogs to the shelter.
All dogs and puppies have been adopted.
“It’s not often we see a case of this magnitude,” said Pennsylvania SPCA CEO Jerry Buckley. “We are pleased that Ms. Dienner has accepted responsibility for her actions and that these animals have found justice.

About time. I think this punishment fits the crime. She won’t be allowed to have animals for at least 15 years. Why can’t all punishments be like this?

62 dogs???? Are you kidding me? What the hell is wrong with people? I guess they were used for breeding. It happened in Lancaster County, PA. I’m so ashamed of our state and the way we treat animals.
