Brandon Cramer, Saylorsburg, Monroe County, Pennsylvania has been charged with four counts of animal cruelty including one misdemeanor count for allegedly hitting his dog on the head with a hammer and stabbing her.  Cramer was charged after the PSPCA  received a tip about a critically injured female mastiff, Michaella.  Cramer is charged for maliciously maiming, mutilating and disfiguring  Michaella.  He is being charged with summary counts of lack of veterinary care for Michaella.  He is also being charged with lack of veterinary care for two other animals in his possession.

Michaella was found on Februrary 12th suffering from head and stab wounds by the PSPCA.  They took custody of Michaella and sought immediate medical care in Monroe County at a veterinary hospital.  She is in guarded condition and is expected to have a long road to recovery if she survives.  Two additional adult mastiff types and two puppies were removed.  The 1-year old mastiff, Mordecai, (pictured below) was adopted.

How horrible? I hope she survives. I don’t understand why he wasn’t charged with a felony.
