Tribute to George Bengal, PSPCA Director of Humane Law Enforcement- on tomorrow evening’s tv show at 7 PM (live)

May 1, 2016 by Tina Evangelista-Eppenstein 12 Comments

Join me tomorrow evening as Rebecca Glenn Dinwoodie, Esq., Humane Litigator for the Pennsylvania SPCA will discuss Antoine Talley, 39, of Philadelphia who was recently sentenced to probation, anger management and paying $3500 to the PSPCA for restitution for his dog fighting operation.  He was arrested in May 2013  We will discuss why he received no jail time.
We will also pay tribute to George Bengal, the Director of Humane Law Enforcement for the PSPCA for the last 20 years. Recently, Bengal has revealed he has terminal cancer and only has a few months to live.  We will honor this man’s service for helping animals and fighting animal cruelty not only in Philadelphia and Pennsylvania but his impact on animals nationally.  A true treasure for all who know him.  We honor you, George.   Thank you for all that you have done to help and save animals.
You are appreciated by so many and are in our thoughts and prayers.
Showtime is 7 PM (live) on Ch. 15 (Comcast) Ch. 21 (Service Electric). The program airs in Pennsylvania.  Can’t see the show in  your area?  Streamline the show live over the internet by clicking on this link.

#Thank you George for all you’ve done over the last 22 years helping animals in Pennsylvania. Your work will always be remembered. I’m so sorry this has happened. I saw you on tv and I see how brave you are. I’m praying for you, your wife and your children. I pray that God gives you strength through this brutal illness. I pray your wife and children will be ok. God Bless you, Mr. Bengal. Thank you for all you’ve done!!

I don’t know George but I’m aware of who he is. I feel for him. It sounds as if he devoted his life to helping animals. The world of animals is going to miss him. You never know when your time is up. At least George can hear and read what people are thinking and saying about him. How many of us get that chance? All in all, it’s very sad for all those who love him. God Bless you, George Bengal. Thank you for all your years of service to the animals. They thank you for all that you’ve done for them.

No jail time for this man?!!! What the hell is wrong with our laws? Second FELONY offense and he gets anger management? Something’s very wrong here! This is so wrong! Another slap on the wrist for an animal abuser! I’m so sick of our laws. They mean nothing and do nothing. We are a joke in Pennsylvania.

I don’t think George is doing very well nor has much time left. I watched a report that said his doctors told him nothing more could be done. Life is so unfair. I wish him God speed. I hope he doesn’t suffer. He’s very brave.

What a shame to be losing a great friend to the animals. I saw his story on Fox 29 from Philadelphia. Doctors told him there is nothing else to do for him. Bless him.
