Winge Pointe, the NRA and SHARK- connecting the dots

August 3, 2013 by Tina Evangelista-Eppenstein 10 Comments

SHARK, Showing Animals Respect and Kindness, is calling on NRA celebrity spokesmen, Chuck Norris, Tom Selleck, and Ted Nugent to speak against live pigeon shoots that are still actively and openly held in the state of Pennsylvania. Despite PA Humane Society Police Officers calling these shoots illegal for years, the killing continues because the NRA utilizes their influence on local and state politics, according to SHARK.
SHARK president, Steve Hindi states, “Pennsylvania law absolutely forbids animals being treated cruel, ill-treated or neglected. Not only are pigeons shot and killed – victims of cruelty, but the hundreds left to suffer are additionally victims of ill-treatment and neglect. Pigeon shoots are not part of the hunting code, so PA humane laws apply.” No matter what evidence of this cruelty is presented to Berks County Dictrict Attorney, John Adams or the state police by SHARK, no action is ever taken against those who commit animal cruelty as it relates to the pigeon shoots.
This past Thursday, July 31st, Winge Pointe Hunting Resort, Shoemakersville, PA, started a four-day massive live pigeon shoot where shooters gather to injure, maim and kill defenseless birds as they are catapulted into the air by a spring box. As the birds fall to the ground, boys rush to capture injured birds and kill them by stomping on them, ringing their necks or throwing them violently to the ground until they die a brutal death. A nice outing for fathers and sons to enjoy the thrill of killing birds for no other reason than to kill them. They are not used for their meat. They are dumped into a pile as depicted in the picture. No hunting skills involved.
Steve Hindi says Norris, Nugent, and Selleck have used their celebrity status to promote the NRA but they now want to see if they have the courage, along with other noteworthy board members (Karl Malone, Oliver North, John Bolton, and Grover Norquist), to defend what the NRA is doing. “Let’s see if they can explain why the NRA’s top echelon abuse the reputation and wealth of NRA members so that they can slaughter animals for fun” “Is this group of public figures going to hide like cowards, or will they face the scrutiny that the NRA has rightfully earned? SHARK wants to know, as do other animal activists!
According to SHARK,”Whenever legislation to ban shoots is introduced in PA, the NRA’s lobbyist sweeps down upon the state capitol.” “The NRA has also donated money to Berks County District Attorney, John Adams, who abuses his power to protect the pigeon shoots in his jurisdiction. The NRA is the reason these illegal mass slaughters continue.”
Since Thursday and into tomorrow, as  thousands of birds will be killed or die a slow death, SHARK is not only keeping their eye on the deadly massacre taking place but also on the connection between the NRA and Winge Pointe. They have researched the connection between DA Adams and the pigeon shooters. The shooters who consist mainly of wealthy and politically connected and the NRA sponsors own Berks County District Attorney John Adams, according to SHARK.
SHARK has proof that shows campaign donations to Adams’ campaign from pro-pigeon shooting Political Action Committees and from Winge Pointe lawyers. In a follow-up article, I will delve into the proof SHARK has provided me.
Tune in as SHARK targets the connection of the flow of money to buy influence into this matter. As you read this, countless number of birds have been shot , injured, killed or are dying a horrific death.

Another four day shoot. DA ADams, do your job and stop this! This is animal cruelty and you’re allowing it to continue! it is your job to see that this doesn’t happen. But, you’re taking campaign donations from these very people. Disgusting!

It makes me sick to my stomach knowing how many pigeons died on their way to Winge Pointe and how many are dazed with no food and water while waiting to be put in a box only to be shot at and killed. It physically makes me ill to think of this. These people are not human. They have no compassion. These are the kind of people who will show the same about people. They will never understand what they’re doing is so wrong. Their skulls are too thick for them to “get it.”

I’m sick and tired of these people getting away with animal cruelty. Nugent isn’t going to say anything against this. He kills anything that walks in front of him. Check him out on tv. He doesn’t care where or what it is. He kills for killing. Expect nothing from him. I’d like to see Selleck say something against pigeon shoots. He seems reasonable. I can’t believe any of these men can say this is real hunting.

Does this shock anyone? Not me but at least they have proof. Isn’t Adams breaking the law by not upholding it? I think so. Always about money while animals suffer so they can get more donations. It’s time for action.

I knew it! Dirty, filthy politicians allowing the massacre of innocent birds. Makes me sick. Looking forward to next article.

So pigeons die a horrible death whether it’s from traveling to Winge Pointe or while these supposed men shoot at them and dump them in a pile and it’s still allowed even though it’s against the law?

Can’t something be done if they don’t uphold the law?

Pathetic. People with power abusing their privelege to allow these shoots to go on when they’re clearly against the law!

It’s so maddening that live pigeon shoots continue in spite of being against the law and no one in the law will do anything to stop it. This is insane.

Pigeon shoots are vile and must stop! I’m ashamed to live in PA.
